Free is a collection of 12 songs from Charlie Lang. The songs vary in styles,and hold psychological depth of feeling. The album that was produced by Chicago's John Hegner is a combination of extremely catchy Pop Melodies, Rock sensibilities and instrumentation, and jazz syncopation and underlying chord structures. The cd which took 4 years to make is also Lang's best work. The album Free is just done right.Not overly abrasive,and not too smooth to wake someone up, the record is "just there" about the production,and one can REALLY APPRECIATE THE MUSIC! It's Magic.
